Tian Tan started professional dance training in China at GuangDong State Professional Dance School between 2000-2004.
In 2005 Tian immigrated to the United States, He continued training with Marat Daukayev Ballet Academy, Milwaukee Ballet and Miami City Ballet all with full scholarship. In 2008-2010, Tian joined Los Angeles Ballet under director Colleen Neary and Thordal Christensen, and worked with great Balanchine trust repetiteur Patricia Neary performed at the UCLA Royce Hall, The Alex Theatre and Redondo performing arts center. In 2010 Tian Principal guest performed with California Riverside Ballet and Astra dance production project at the Broadway theater Los Angeles. Between 2011-2014, Tian moved to the Bay Area and joined Company C Contemporary Ballet under director Charles Anderson and worked with choreographer Dennis Nahat, Yuri Zhukov and many other great choreographers, performing in solo and lead roles. Also he had a great opportunity to travel around the nation performing at Skirball Center and the Joyce theater in NYC. In 2012 Tian received his USA Citizenship. Between 2014-2020 Tian returned to dance with Los Angeles Ballet under program contract, and also had danced with Atlantic City ballet as the Nutcracker prince in their Nutcracker production and many great works under director Phyllis Papa. In 2019 he had a great opportunity to dance with Roxey Ballet under director Mark Roxey, and performed at the Stanford Theatre. In 2021-2022 Tian returned to Los Angeles to teach and guest performed with Pacific festival ballet as prince in their gala show with director Kim Maselli, and during the winter Tian had guest performed principal roles with South Coast Conservatory with director Maria Tikhomirova and Enton Hoxha. In 2022 Tian returned to the bay area and since then He had taught professional ballet classes with New Ballet school, Westlake Performing Art, Principal Creative & Performing Arts and Studio A dance, also during the year Tian had guest performed with Pacific ballet academy under director Rima Chaeff and Marion Chaeff in their Nutcracker production as cavalier prince. Currently in 2024 Tian is teaching at Jazz and taps studio ballet program, Castro Valley Performing Art, Berkeley City Ballet and Tian also guest performing principal roles and teaching at the Benicia Ballet Theatre. Tian is happy to be a member of the faculty team with Hao Expression Ballet and hopes to bring good development in ballet to their dancers. Pronouns: He/Him/His Dear Hao Expression Dancers!! |
