Astrid Arvelo formally began her ballet studies at the Terpsichore Dance School, at the age of 13 with teacher Humberto Rodríguez.
At the age of 15 she joined the stable dance corps of the Nuevo Mundo ballet of Caracas, under the artistic direction of the Venezuelan teacher, director and prima ballerina Zhandra Rodríguez, who was a principal dancer of the American Ballet Theater and the Hamburg Ballet. . Completing part of her training at the Ballet Nuevo Mundo, she joined the most important company in Venezuela, the Teresa Carreño Ballet, dancing different roles such as: Coppelia: variation of Aurora, Swanilda and their friends. In 2021 she moved to the United States to continue her career as a dancer, dancing in different companies in Miami such as Dimensions Dance Theater (coach) of Miami and Ballet Clásico Cubano de Miami as a Soloist and Corps de Ballet under the artistic direction of Heriberto Jiménez.
